Salary:
- Teaching Rate: £25.00 - £27.00 per hour
- Administrative Rate: £14.00 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Health & Social Care Lecturer to join a Further Education provider in Birmingham on a temporary ongoing basis, subject to termly reviews.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Health & Social Care lessons to learners studying Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, supporting students to achieve their academic and career goals.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lecturer or industry professional with teaching experience looking for a part-time position within a supportive FE environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Health & Social Care lessons to Level 1-3 learners.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities in line with curriculum requirements.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and assessments.
- Contribute to learner retention, achievement and progression.
- Attend team meetings and participate in quality assurance activities as required.

Wednesday
- 09:30 - 10:30
- 10:45 - 12:15
- Suggested Admin Time: 13:00 - 16:00
Thursday
- 09:00 - 10:30
- 10:45 - 12:15
Friday
- 10:45 - 12:00
- 13:00 - 14:30
- 15:15 - 17:00
Additional 3 hours per week administration are included and paid at the administrative rate.
Requirements
- A relevant Health & Social Care qualification.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training or equivalent).
- Experience delivering Health & Social Care within Further Education.
- Knowledge of Level 1-3 Health & Social Care qualifications.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
